Why take a healthcare quiz

Healthcare workers are at an increased risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens, including the hepatitis B virus (HBV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). These infections can be life-threatening, so it’s critical that workers receive proper training to protect themselves and others. HBV is spread through contact with blood or other body fluids from an infected person. A person can become infected with HBV during tattooing, body piercing, or when sharing needles, razors or other sharp instruments with someone who has HBV. There is currently no vaccine to prevent HBV infection, but there is a vaccine to prevent hepatitis B disease. HIV is spread through contact with blood or other body fluids from an infected person. There is currently no vaccine to prevent HIV infection. The best way to prevent both infections is by practicing safe injection practices and avoiding contact with blood and other body fluids. That’s why we’ve put together this quiz on bloodborne pathogens to ensure that your workers are up-to-date with the latest regulations and safety practices.
