(Z16) LEADING/LAGGING INDICATORS The Z16.1 standard provides the means to track and demonstrate the impact that safety and health efforts have on the organization’s business. To learn more, visit Safety and Health Metrics (Z16.1).
(ISO 45001) OSH MANAGEMENT The ANSI/ASSP Z10.0 standard helps to establish OSH management systems to improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create better working conditions. To learn more, visit OSH Management (Z10).
(Z490) OSH TRAINING The ANSI/ASSP Z490.1 standard provides guidance on how to manage overall safety training programs, as well as criteria for developing training that incorporates adult learning principles. The ANSI/ASSP Z490.2 standard provides guidance on accepted practices specifically for e-learning in safety, health and environmental training programs. To learn more, visit Safety Training (Z490).
ASSP is also the administrator of the U.S. technical advisory groups for two international standards: ⚠️ ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems ⚠️ ISO 31000 Risk Management Next, we'll briefly discuss these international standards.
ASSP has also taken a new step to help curb the risk of workplace incidents involving active shooters and armed assailants. This was done by publishing the consensus-based Active Shooter Technical Report. The report provides recommendations from safety experts on how a business in any industry can better protect itself in advance of such an incident.
