Don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits!

At EdApp, we challenge ourselves and our colleagues every day, both inside and outside of the workplace. We know that to succeed and to perform, it is pivotal to challenge ourselves past our limits.

This October, a few EdApp  team members are taking on the gruelling Hawkesbury Canoe Classic. The 111km canoe race takes place in the Hawkesbury River in Australia, and involves approximately 13 hours of non-stop paddling and, to add another challenging dimension, it will go through the dead of the night in shark-infested waters.

The lead-up to the event has been challenging but inspiring to say the least. Aside from setting ourselves the challenge of training early mornings throughout winter, we have also set an ambitious goal of raising 0,000.Every cent raised will go to the great work provided by Arrow, Australia’s Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation

Every year, tens of thousands of people are diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma. In many cases, a bone marrow or stem cell transplant offers the best, if not the only, prospect of recovery. Arrow receives zero Government funding and is 100% volunteer based, which is the exact reason the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic organisers chose to align with the organisation. The much-needed funds are distributed in three ways; 1) Families and patients going through treatment, 2) Nurses who require sponsorship to treat those in distress, and 3) Highly skilled PHD students — all to advance essential medical research.

One thing we know for sure is that the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic is more of an endurance race and a mental battle than a physical one, which is why we would be very grateful for your support. If you are interested in the work of Arrow, and perhaps also just want to see us survive, please help us reach our goals by contributing financially to our fundraising targets. Access our team page. Every little bit counts!
