Content

Content templates are perfect for transferring knowledge and introducing new content to your learners for the first time.

Comparison

Allows a juxtaposition of one thing to another, or allows a unique and interactive way to reveal some text content. The “reveal” interaction style is also a great way to unveil new content, expose a new way of thinking, or even simply display how closely linked two concepts are.

Expandable list

Great for separating out larger points into smaller chunks, this list based template expands each point upon a learner’s press. With only one piece of information exposed at a time, it’s a great way to isolate important points. Learners can gain an understanding of a larger concept by comprehending its smaller parts individually.

Simple Image

Displays a single image with optional text, and allows learners to zoom in and out with their fingers on touchscreen devices. This template is a great way for learners to inspect a high-resolution image on touchscreen devices, using multi-touch user interaction features like pinching to zoom.

Image Collection

Displays up to 8 images as selectable icons. Each icon will expand upon a learner’s touch, and present associated text. This template is a great way to introduce a new collection of products, or highlight the differences between a range of individual items.

Image Gallery

A sliding gallery template. Learners can swipe right to left to move through each image. The template can also be used with a single image for a quick primer slide. This template is one of Ed’s most versatile - allowing learners to view visual, text-based and audio information sequentially.

Image Waypoints

This versatile template can be used to highlight important details in a single image. Hotspots can be configured with headings, text and narration. This template allows learners to explore new packaging, inspect a schematic diagram or view the key features of a particular product.

Image Map

Similar to the Image Waypoints template, hotspots can be configured to show an image upon press. This versatile template allows learners to explore new packaging, or view both interior and exterior shots in the same template.

List slide

This simple template displays a list of bullet points with optional narration. Great for setting a “table of contents” for a lesson, or providing an overview of important points.

Parallax Motion

Displays up to 7 images on top of each other, creating a 3D effect for learners with accelerometer-enabled devices (most smartphones and tablets). Great for introducing content in an eye catching way, and an effective method to set your lessons apart from others.

Reveal

Displays text-only flip cards that can be rotated one at a time. A great way to separate content out into smaller chunks like the “expandable list” template. This template is great for mobile, giving authors a quick way to share quick tips or chunked pieces of information.

Scratch to Reveal

Reveal ideas or concepts in an interactive and engaging way, with this template that works like an interactive scratch card. Similar to the “comparison” template, this interactive template brings an element of gamification directly into your content template.

Scrollable

This simple content template displays scrolling text with optional narration. The text will automatically adjust to look great on any device or screen size.

Scrolling Media

Displays scrolling text, images or videos with optional narration. The text, images and video will automatically adjust themselves to look great on any device’s screen size and orientation.

Table

Display information in a table format, with optional narration. Authors can also add a short description before or after the tabular information.

Text Sequence

Display text that reveals itself one point at a time. An interactive alternative to the simple list template, and great for presenting lists in a chunked, separated format.

Title slide

Display a title and a short description with optional narration. This is a great way to introduce and acquaint learners with your lesson outcomes.

Video slide

Upload a video slide to be served directly from the Ed Platform. Set options like auto-play, auto-advance and whether or not to allow a “skip video” button. A simple way to add engaging audiovisual content to any lesson.

Video Collection

Display a collection of videos that learners can select, served directly from the Ed platform. Useful for comparing different processes or sequences of events, and allows learners to experience the videos in a non-linear order.

Vimeo Video

Embed a video hosted on Vimeo directly as a slide in your lesson.

YouTube Video

Embed a video hosted on YouTube directly as a slide in your lesson.
