Welcome AFS Intercultural: Now providing training in partnership with EdApp to young volunteers, students, and teachers around the world

Please join us in welcoming AFS Intercultural to the EdApp family. The non-governmental, nonprofit global exchange and volunteer organisation has selected our platform to train their teams around the world.

AFS Intercultural aims to encourage the global community to respect diversity and embrace inclusiveness. Since its establishment in 1914, the organisation has been committed to connecting cultures with the goal to create a more just and peaceful world. AFS Intercultural has an impressive global presence, with over 53,000 volunteers, 12,000 study abroad participants, and more than 5,000 school alliances that can be found in over 60 countries around the world.

Democratisation of learning

The EdApp team has always been on a mission to democratise learning. Because of this, we are especially thrilled that our partnership with AFS Intercultural has been established, bringing our continuous goal one step closer. We are proud that our mobile-first microlearning platform is being used to provide unique opportunities to thousands of young volunteers, students, and teachers around the world. Through the EdApp, AFS Intercultural is educating their cohorts on valuable anthropological lessons, including content on intercultural sensitivity and the five frameworks for culture.

Learning without borders

To accommodate AFS Intercultural’s global presence, EdApp provides features that enable all learners to absorb critical content. Our offline mode feature, for example, allows learners to complete lessons when Internet access is sparse or non-existent. Furthermore, lessons can be translated into over 103 languages by the click of a button through EdApp’s cloud translation feature.

We have been thrilled with EdApp’s platform and its ability to educate our volunteers, students and teachers. At AFS Intercultural, we are dedicated to enhancing the effect our programs have on our global community and EdApp is the perfect way to facilitate this. We are particularly impressed with how the platform enables our learners to have constant access to course content via the offline mode feature and in multiple languages.
– Juan Medici, Executive Director, AFS Intercultural

Microlearning Results

After the implementation of EdApp, AFS Intercultural has successfully deployed training lessons to students and teachers, covering the essential information needed to empower young people globally.

EdApp is humbled to be playing a role in encouraging inclusivity and peace amongst our global community. Our unique features enable global organisations like AFS Intercultural to seamlessly educate their teams all over the world. We understand the power of education and its boundless effects on surrounding communities and people. EdApp is incredibly excited to have AFS Intercultural join the family.
